Research overview:
The test results of residual agricultural chemicals in foods conducted in 1999 were fixed up. Twelve kinds of residual agricultural chemicals were found in 13 of 18 farm product specimens from the prefecture and 13 of 15 specimens imported. The highly detected substances were lead in the domestic specimens and leads, imazalil and thiabendazole in the foreign specimens. However, they did not break the common standards. Both imazalil and thiabendazole were frequently detected in imported oranges and lemons.
