Research overview:
The surface of planets is not flat and smooth but covered with representative particle size of regolith with micro irregularity of several tenth microns. It has been found that due to this irregularity the fluorescent X-ray intensity ratio of each element is significantly affected by the solar phase angle. By further advancing experiments and model calculation particle size effect is quantified and formulated.
