Research overview:
Most of the machine parts made of steel are usually heat treated such as quenching and tempering after machining, and finished with a grinding wheel. Effluents and sludge (scrap) generated at this process is causing adverse environmental effects including recycling process. To cope with this situation, technology of cutting process by lathe with CBN tool is to be established that substitutes grinding, and the manufacturing of the mechanical parts with environmentally friendly process such as recycling of cut scrap is proosed.
