Research overview:
The main components of the satellites of the exterior planet system are water ice and frozen methane and nitrogen. Although the existence of such non-water ices is known, there are unknown physical properties and almost no elucidation has been made on fragmentation and flowing phenomena, which are characteristics to the surface of ice satellite. As a result of measurement of flow properties of such substances under extremely low temperature, it was found that the substances were considerably soft and easy to flow. It was succeeded to give a big restriction to the material component of icy satellites.
