Research overview:
A transfer function of an elastic wave propagating through the material represents the characteristics of the materials. The analyzing method of the transfer function, the Elastic-wave Transfer Function Method (ETFuM), has been developed. This method is used for the evaluation of the artificial hip joint in service in a human body and inspection of the railway tunnels and tunnels in a water strage dam in addition ot the dynamic measurement of the fracture process of polymers.
