Research overview:
To utilize visual information in mobile robot with visual sensor, we propose control system which has hiearchial planning and sub-goal map. So we made mobile robot with a small CCD camera and succeeded in the experiment of obstacle avoidance. We also propose new method of path planning by sensor information fusion between vision and range sensor, and we are trying to make experimental investigations.
