Research overview:
Two lines tested in 2000 and two lines tested in 2001 are judged as inadequate for replacement of present recommended varieties. Among three lines: 'Chiba No.26', 'Chiba No.27'. and 'Chiba No.28', tested in 2002, 'Chiba No.28' is recognized as hopeful having ripening term similar to 'Hatsuboshi', and having excellent yield, quality, and taste. The adequate basal dressing is recognized as 6 kg/10a by the result of this year.
