Establishment of a cropping type for flowering plants and stabilization of their production: (1) Improvement of cut flower quality of summer cropping flowering plants: 1) Effects of temperature management after seeding upon equalization of germination

草花類の作型の確立と生産安定 (1)夏季作草花類の切り花品質向上と生産安定 1)播種後の温度管理が発芽揃いに与える影響
Study period:2002 - 2002
Research overview:
In a cropping type based on seeding or raising seedlings in summer, germination and initial growth tend to be poor, leading to unstableness of production of cut flowers. To solve the problem, optimum temperatures for germination of 5 items of 9 varieties of delphinium are examined. In testing at 5 degrees C intervals from 10 to 30 degrees C, almost all items showed notably poor germination at 30 degrees C, and larkspur was poor in germination even at 25 degrees C.
