Research overview:
Various arenediazonium ions are easily incorporated into aprotic organic solvents by the use of a highly lipophilic organic counter anion, fluorinated tetraarylborate. The mechanism and the synthetic application of the azo-coupling reactions of the arene diazonium ions in nonpolar organic solvents are investigated.
