Titanium oxide is noticed as a material that has excellent functions such as removing nitrogen oxide, deodorant function, antibacterial function and so on by oxidation catalytic action. On the other hand, removal of unpleasant odor generated during the use of range or stove is an important problem to be solved in home electric appliance. In this study, the hybrid ceramics to remove unpleasant odor by synergic action of adsorption and catalytic action of porous material is developed by coating material provided with catalytic property such as titanium oxide on porous ceramics.
