Research overview:
Recent advance in molecular techniques enable us to use genetic polymorphism at the DNA level for marker-assisted selection of beef cattle. In order to establish the marker-assisted selection on meat quality in Japanese Black, we analyse the linkage between the microsatellites polymorphism and the carcass quality in the progeny testing.
