High frequency electron devices using coherent electrons
1994 - 1996
Investigating Researcher (2)：
A number of experimental high frequency electron devices are under investigation which use coherent electrons. Examples are Bloch-Oscillators, coherent electron cyclotron Tera-Hertz emitters, electron interference devices, and quantum dot or anti-dot array structures. Bloch Oscillations have been proposed theoretically early this century, however they have only been verified experimetally very recently by an optical pump-probe experiment. An electrically pumped Bloch-Oscillator would be a convenient source for Tera-Hertz radiation, but has not been yet made to my knowledge.
