Research overview:
Adopt wireless data communication equipment for mobile service on the ground which works with excellent stability without interference from other communications even during a disaster, establish GPS time synchronous time sharing bidirectional communication technology enabling remote control & observation at a large number of observation points with a single frequency, and study its effects and practicability. Also develop equipment enabling to operate portable compact power supply unit by solar battery, GPS receiver and wireless data communication equipment for a long time, under cold environments and under corrosive volcanic gas environments. Furthermore, we will also study and develop analysis & display means, signal treatment, etc. most suitable for grasping crustal alterations due to volcanic activities, and conduct proof tests of data transmission & receiving systems by IP connection. We will systemize those equipment and means and study early realization of their application to actual products.
