Research overview:
A high-speed flying object was collided with graphite, a C/C composite, CFRP by mainly using a two-stage light gas gun to elucidate the impulse kill behavior of a carbon-based advanced material. A systematic research is conducted to the influence of the properties of a constituent on the impulse kill and crack growth behavior. In 2002 fiscal year, on the spot measurement was applied to stress up to a strain rate of 106-107/s and distortion.
