Research overview:
We fabricated hardware of self-organization type learning circuit for main component analysis that targeted hardware configuration of a large-scale dynamic memory system. The learning circuit was configured with a pulse-density type digital circuit, which was installed in FPGA (Field Programmable Gate Array), and we demonstrated that orientation of a single sound source placed in front of dual microphones is traceable in real time. We proposed a geometric procedure to track plural sound sources and demonstrated that it had performance not inferior to the conventional method with independent component analysis. Also, we advanced analysis of 'Kohjien' by targeting self-organization of large-scale memory of intelligence. We take up 'extraction of expression intrinsic to Japanese language' as an example of concrete learning retrieval system, configured a learning system with SVM (Support Vector Machine) by using large-scale corpus, and accomplished the highest performance.
