Research overview:
Sometimes during the start and the stop of the liquid rocket engine, generation of abnormal transverse propulsion is seen by the deflection of the nozzle flow. In order to clarify the mechanism of this phenomenon, experiment was performed to clarify the effect of the coarseness of the nozzle surface in particular. It has been found that the coarseness of about interface layer thickness causes asymmetric abrasion.
