Research overview:
Simulation of trajectory and attitude of re-entry capsules of "MUSES-C" at their re-entry requires both static and dynamic aerodynamic characteristics in a wide Mach-number regions including dilute region. The purpose of this study is to organize a database of static and dynamic aerodynamic characteristics for the simulation, and we are continuing experiments in this regard using wind tunnel tests in the ranges of low, transonic, supersonic, and ultra super-sonic velocity.
