Research overview:
RecA protein has an important role for homologous DNA recombination. The RecA proteins form a filament structure, which binds two DNA strands and catalyses strand exchange reactions. We are investigating the DNA binding sites in the filament in order to understand the molecular mechanism of the DNA recombination.
