Behavior and temperature characteristics of crystal are analyzed for minimizing the thickness and size using computer simulation and FEM and basic designs for the optimum shape is obtained. Prototype of practical crystal oscillator is developed by establishing microfabrication techniques using photo lithography, etc. In addition, for ultra-thin and micromini packages with excellent strength, airtightness and electromagnetic radiation control, design techniques and prototype are developed. Based on the results of the above, ultra-thin and micromini crystal oscillator is developed and a series of production system is established for practical applications including for use on IC cards.
