Calibration of X-ray reflecting telescope mounted on ASCA at orbit

Research overview:
The grazing incidence X-ray reflecting telescope mounted on ASCA is capable of converging 10eV X-rays and maintaining a large effective surface area (6000 square centimeters) over a range between 6k and 7k eV. It is indispensable to precisely maintain the characteristic of the X-ray reflecting mirror in X-ray image analysis. Calibration operation was revised to using recent gold data for calibration information, because the accuracy of X-ray constants of the deposited gold on the reflecting face have been extremely improved.
