Development of dispersion type engineering database system through network

Research overview:
(Object) We construct database to commonly use engineering data in relation to productive activity through a network, and organically combine production steps in a design site and a production site with using above-mentioned database so as to commonly use and re-use the database. Then we try to shorten a time take for production, heighten effectiveness, and arrange information infrastructure. (Contents) For achieving above-mentioned object, we develop an open-type production support system in which several functions have been synthesized on the basis of the dispersion type engineering database, then evaluate the system through verification tests. 1) Development of dispersion type engineering database system and its verification test 2) Establishment of interface with systems used for each production step. (Usefulness and novelty) Although plurality of data has been output through the whole production activity, there is few data that has been effectively re-used. Our developed dispersion type engineering database system makes possible the use of data in other steps or on different systems without considering network. There has yet been no system that can effectively store from CAD data to signals.
