Research overview:
(1) The mechanism of pathogenesis ・ evolution factor of adult T-cell leukemia (ATL) and hepatic cancer that emerges on the background of viral infection is elucidated to develop the prevention ・ therapeutic method mainly by food function. (2) Evaluation method of the functionality that enables to evaluate the functionality of food with a high throughput is developed. (3) The cultivation ・ breeding ・ processing technique etc. required to express functionality are established to develop highly functional foods that are effective for prevention of cancer.
