The effect of the volcano Miyakejima on the fog water qualities sampled at the moutainous regions

Research overview:
As the result from measuring the fog water quantities in Akagiyama and Shinasan, average pH of the fog water were 3.44 and 3.82, respectively. The pH value of Akagiyama was lowest so far. This was attributed to the volcano gas from Miyakejima volcano. Thus, the quantities of nitrogen and sulfur oxides in the fog water were rapidly decreased in Akagiyama but not Shinasan after the eruption of Miyakejima.
