Research overview:
In order to add high value to ceramics, which is an industrial inorganic material, we intend to improve strength and toughness by impregnating zirconia on the surface of ceramics by sol-gel method etc. Also, metallic thin layer and non-oxide ceramics thin layer are prepared by sputtering method to develop ceramics that is provided with electrical functions, fanciness and abrasion resistance.
