Study on organisms and gravity

Study period:1990 - 2000
Organization (1):
Investigating Researcher (3):
Research overview:
Study is conducted on the physiology and ecology of organisms with exposure to a gravitational environment differing from on earth. The effect of gravity on the gravity acceptance mechanism and physiological behavior of organisms is clarified through hypergravity experiment and transient phenomena due to one-shot free-fall drop test. Examination is done on the relation of gravity to the swimming of protozoa and to the development of Nematoda and fertilized ovum. The relationship of the gravity to organism's evolution and organism's species spectrum in ecosystem is studied in reference to the species difference of frogs and vestibular reflexes.
