Research overview:
For existing forms of trace metals contained in internal organs in marine products, the peaks are observed in a high molecular region at molecular weight of 40000 or more and a low molecular region at molecular weight of several thousands for each trace metal. This result indicates that there exists metallothionein in lower molecular region in addition to higher molecular metallothionein bound with protein for trace metals in internal organ of marine products.
