Research overview:
Light-weight foam glass were prepared from waste bottle glass (cullet) for purpose of reuse to building material(interior). Cullet added foaming agent (calcium carbonate) and binder (bentonite) were pressed and sintered at 800-900 degree C. We found that obtained foam glass have light-weight and heat insulating characteristic, respectively bulk density 0.3(g/cm3) and thermal conductivity 0.1(W/mK).
