Regional research organizations (fishery experimental station, integrated fishery research laboratory and fishery processing research laboratory) in seven prefectures conduct joint studies as research subjects of grant-in-aid. Research items: 1) Raw material properties of internal organs of fishery products, 2) Study of preparation technique and procedures for converting to new materials, 3) Grasp of preservability in processing, storage and distribution, 4) Study of control technique of microorganisms, and 5) Preparation of manuals regarding manufacture and quality maintenance.
