Research overview:
This study pays attention to the morphological elements that constitute urban space, and is to develop a technique that describes the special characteristics with these elements. In this fiscal year, distribution of buildings named after their geographic places such as stations, towns, and parks was analyzed in terms difference in place and patterns of distribution-density among buildings, Moreover, relation between frequency of the use of names of places and the use of buildings, distribution-density decrease with distance from stations or main expressways, and correspondence of the distribution of buildings with the administrative division were numerically analyzed, and the urban regional characteristics was discussed from the naming point of view of buildings.
