Research overview:
It is obvious that C. jejuni and C. coli are the important causative agents of diarrheal disease in Japan. The pathogenesis of both species have already clarified in present time. On the other hand, no finding is obtained on other species, for example C. laridis etc. Studies on the identification of other species by means of analyzing their cellular fatty acid with gas chromatography are planned.
