Study of selective plating by laser irradiation

Research overview:
Effects of laser irradiation on the depositing speed and shape of plating on iron substrate are investigated, using combination of electroless nickel-phosphorus plating with laser. The laser irradiation resulted in about 20 times higher depositing speed compared with the ordinary plating method, and the change of phosphorus content in the plating, depending on the laser output.
