Study on separation of laminated plate due to thermal stress

Heat-resisting laminated composite material plates are promising as the structural material of high-speed spacecraft such as space shuttle. In this study, a thermal load due to aerodynamic heating was applied to an isotopically heated laminated composite material plate with defects, and analyzed for thermal stress and thermal deformation due to inhomogeneous heat distribution in a layer separate section. To experimentally verify this result, precise displacement measurement was carried out by laser holographic interferometry.
