Research overview:
The Characterization by acoustic emission (AE) on interfacial fracture behaviour is studied to evaluate the interfacial mechanical properties of fiber reinforced polymer matrix laminates. Low fiber-content laminates are conducted to examine the fracture progression through a microscope and AE. Also,the evaluation method is examined to compare the interfacial mechanical properties of fiber/matrix interface among the laminated composites for practical use.
