Research overview:
In order to expand the fields of application of magnesium alloys, improvement in the various properties such as mechanical or anti-corrosion properties, and advance in productivity are indispensable.Mg powder was mixed at the various addition rates of Tic powder for a fixed milling time of 7.2Ks. The addition of Tic powder was 1 vol% to 10 vol% and the same forming process as for Mg-5 vol% Tic powder, the mixed powders became finer and the adhesion of Tic powder to Mg powder occurred more remarkably. Hardness values of the hot-pressed material and the hot-extruded material also increased.
