Long-term effects of inferotemporal cortical lesions in infant monkeys on visual cognitive function
1995 - 1999
It is not well known what effects human brain lesions suffered in infancy have on various physiological and psychological functions in adulthood. In this study, the long-term effects of early brain lesions are examined in monkeys. In adult monkeys, inferotemporal cortical lesions produce severe impairment on visual cognitive function. This study will examine the effect of inferotemporal cortical lesions made in infant monkeys on visual cognitive function after these monkeys grow up.
