Road snow melting technique using new heat source

Research overview:
A large heat source is necessary to cope with the maximum snow fall to make a road snow melting equipment make the most of its function corresponding to weather that changes every moment. Therefore, non-used energy sources such as sewer system heat, solar heat and the like that change in a day and a year and worried that they couldn't supply heat even in necessary time have not been actually used. As for the snow melting equipment using above-mentioned non-used energy, we did feesibility investigation such as a mesh analysis by targeting a civil area in the snowy region. As a result, it could be understood that energy accumulated in a civil area could be used for melting a road snow by combining such energy with other heat source or storing the energy. It could be also clarified that heating temperature had a limit owing to durability of a pavement when radiating a large amount of heat from the road surface if the snow fall reached its peak. Therefore, it is necessary to decrease heat resistance in pavement materials and closely lay heat radiation pipes.
