Liquid phase growth of silicon and its application to new devices

Research overview:
A new liquid phase growth technique of silicon, which is characterized by utilization of a difference in specific gravity between solute and solvent, is applied to preparation of silicon materials for device fabrication. Based on this technique, new devices, such as photodiode, static induced transistor and power device with extremely high efficiency, are developed.
