Research overview:
The etiology of collagen disease is unknown. Viral infection is considered to be the most important causative agent of collagen diseases. In this study, the relation between some viruses and collagen diseases is investigated using immunological methods and polymerase chain reaction. HTLV-I, EB virus, and human parvovirus are given attention.
