Study relating to labor-saving and ease of climate in city area using social infrastructure

Research overview:
An amount of consumed energy in our country has been increasing as information society has progressed and life style that chases comfort has changed. Especially, in a large city area where a large amount of energy has been consumed, heat-island phenomenon has been remarkable. This phenomenon is thought to be much more spread in the near future. Therefore, a counter plan to ease the heat-island phenomenon has been expected. In this study, we are going to develop Road Electric Generation System (hereinafter referred to as REGS) that changes heat to electricity. We execute a simple field test in relation to function of REGS in 1999, and evaluate the function by comparing it with value obtained through numerical computation. It could be understood through the evaluation of the function of REGS, a test value comparatively well matched with the value obtained through the numerical computation in relation to distribution of temperatures under ground and generation amount of REGS. Therefore, it is said that the test value could be well evaluated by the numerical computation.
