IAEA-RCA the survey of a Reference Asian (CRP) phase II: Intake and body content of essential microelements in radiation protection

Research overview:
In order to prepare and establish the RCA data on the reference man and metabolic dose, which are the basic information for radiation exposure estimate, this study conducts the analytic measurement and reference collection about the intake and body content of Sr, I, Th, and U, among the nucleides and elements essential for in vivo radiation exposure. It also conducts the followings as the Central Reference Laboratory in the RCA under the cooperation with IAEA, NIST, and National Institute for Environmental Studies: 1) Research advice and training, 2) QC/QA on analysis and measurement in the areas, 3) Cross-check analysis of a certain number of samples, 4) Analysis or measurement of the elements and samples that are difficult to analyze in their local countries, and 5) creation of typical Asian diet samples.
