Research overview:
Water dissolved gas is recovered from the water pumped up from under ground gas reservoir. After separated from the gas, water is re-injected into the reservoir to prevent ground subsidence, and is assumed to deteriorate productivity. The goal of this research is to establish the most suitable water re-injenction scheme which doesn't affect reservoir performance while preventing ground subsidence. Laboratory studies on unsolved features (generation of water dissolved gas, performance of re-injected water, effect of compaction on fluid flow) are to be conducted. Using the results, a new simulator for water dissolved gas reservoir is planed to be developed.
