Study on high precision spectrum of hard X-ray of solar flare

Research overview:
Based on the high-precision observation of hard X-ray radiated from solar flare, mechanism of electron acceleration, which may be caused by the flare, is elucidated. A spectrum observing device was developed that showed resolving power of 3keV for all energy region from 20 to 100keV by the use of CdTe detector. On May 24th, a balloon experiment was carried out and solar flare of M1.1 class was successfully observed. The observation is the world first detection of X-ray from celestial bodies by the use of CdTe detector.
