We isolate some bacteria that have high indigo-reducible activities, and examine their behaviors in various culture conditions. We also analyze the decrease in amounts of indigo caused by repeat of dyeing in a small bath, in relation to the degree of dyeing and the concentration of oxygen in the bath.
