(1)Interspecific hybridization of Cyclamen species by ion beam irradiated pollen Cyclamen species cannot hybridize with the other species for interspecific incompatibility. Ion beams have a feature ti overcome interspecific incompatibility in Nicotiana species is reported. This purpose is the interspecific hybrization of Cyclamen by using the feature of ion beams. (2)Induction of somatic mutation in Cyclamen species by ion beam irradiation Ion beams have higer Linear Energy Transfer than the other ionzing rays. The beams induce higher mutation is reported. This purpose is the induction of mutations for flavour in Cyclamen species by using ion beams.
