Fluid-dynamic experiment on atmosphere re-entry in super-orbit-velocity

This study examined the generation method of testing conditions of the fluid-dynamic simulation experiment of the super-orbit-velocity atmosphere re-entry using the expansion tube. The values as the stagnation point enthalpy of 37MJ/kg and the testing time of 12 mu s. The obtained results on the forms of shock waves and the distance of shock wave isolation were consistent with the calculated values provided by Shizuoka University and Institute of Space and Aeronautic Science.
