Research overview:
When considering external cost regarding concrete fabrics, it is important to establish effective method of utilizing aggregate for concrete, and it is first needed to straighten nationwide circumstances around aggregates. In the fiscal 1999, we examined on regional features of physical properties of aggregate, problems in supplying aggregate, influence on quality of concrete and others based on results of actual state survey of aggregate for concrete throughout the country. It was made clear in consequence that effective utilization must be devised even for aggregate with density and water absorption a little lower regionally, broken stones and sand etc. are considered to increase as supply of natural aggregate decreases, percentage of absolute volume of coarse aggregate gives large influence on unit water quantity of concrete and others.
