Purpose of establishment：
Snow Management & Construction Technology Research Center of Fukui Prefecture was established. Snow Management Technology Research Team and Construction Technology Research Team were set up as research teams.
Construction Technology Research Team was separated into Environment and Landscape Research Team and Disaster Prevention Working Materials Research Team.
The names of Teams were changed to those of Groups.
Environment and Landscape Research Group and Disaster Prevention Materials Research Group were integrated, and Environment and Construction Technology Research Group was established.
When we want to establish a truly agreeable social
base in Fukui Prefecture, it is essential to develop
technologies that are most suitable for the climatic,
natural, economical and social conditions of the
Prefecture, as well as to develop technological
standard in general. In order to deal with the
problems under such conditions, we established Snow
Management & Construction Technology Research Center
of Fukui Prefecture as the specialized research
organization of Construction Division.
-Considering the needs of the area and the age, such
as snow management, cost reduction, recycling,
preservation of environment, welfare society, disaster
prevention, and labor saving, we conduct research,
development and spread of technologies to overcome and
to use snow, construction technology in general,
technology for building and repairing, and technology
for facilities and equipment.
-We promote joint researches among industrial,
academic, and governmental communities with
cooperation among business enterprises and
universities in and out of the Prefecture.
