Faculty of Agriculture, originated from Yamaguchi College of Veterinary Medicine and Animal Husbandry, was inaugurated with the foundation of Yamaguchi University initially consisted of two Departments of Agronomy and Veterinary Medicine.
Department of Agricultural Chemistry was newly established.
After that, Department of Agronomy and Department of Agricultural Chemistry were combined into Department of Biological Science.
which had four Chairs by the arrangement of other Faculty memmbers.
Department of Biological Science was divided into two Departments, Biological and Environmental Sciences and Biological Chemistry. The former Department is organized by two integrated Ghairs, Agrobiology and Rural Environmental and Information Sciences.
