brought drastic changes to every phase of industry, our
individual daily lives, and our social structures.
One of the basic aims of the Dept. of Electronic
Engineering is to educate and train students who will
contribute substantially to the future. The curriculum
thus includes well-balanced courses, both basic and
applicational: semiconductors, all of which are central
to electronic engineering ; integrated circuits,
electronic circuits ; instrumentation ;
telecommunication ; information processing ; and
automatic control, to name a few. Not only does the
Dept. assume that the student has an interest in
advanced technology, but it also requires that he
acquire basic scholastic knowledge, the ability to
apply and practice, and problem-solving ability, all
of which are a fundamental requirement for
technologists in the century to come.
The methods of lectures and laboratory experiments are
accordingly being constantly revised and improved.
Opportunities for visiting factories and practicing as
well as school excursions are also offered. Graduation
studies are carried out under the supervision of one
instructor per student, with the aim that both the
student and the instructor gain something new.
