Hokkaido Agricultural Experiment Station was established in Sapporo City.
A main and branch system was established (Kamikawa, Tokachi, Kitami, Oshima).
The Main Station was moved to Kotoni Mura.
After the national and public institutes were separated, Hokkaido Prefectural Agricultural Experiment Station was established.
The main and branch system was abolished. (The Main Station became Hokkaido Central Agricultural Experiment Station.)

and the agriculture suited to each area has been

five branch offices, Ishikari, Sorachi, Shiribeshi,
Iburi, and Hidaka, and supervises ten prefectural
agricultural experiment stations.
It conducts not only general operations such as planning
of research works about agriculture, progress management,
comprehensive adjustment, and information from the stand
point of all Hokkaido, but conducts also many kinds of
research works to raise efficiency by centralization.
